For the best possible repair of an instrument cluster on a VW T3, it is unfortunately no longer enough to simply replace a few wires or tracks. Because the film is usually already badly damaged and torn several times, so that a reasonable repair is no longer possible.
The only thing that usually helps here is a complete replacement of the foil. Unfortunately, these are no longer available new and what can be obtained used is at least 30 years old.
There are also different versions of the foil. With or without analog clock or even with digital clock. For diesel or petrol (WBX or LBX).
It is now possible to exchange the speedometer foil for a speedometer circuit board without soldering, since every component on the circuit board is prefabricated.
